Becoming a Brand Ambassador
We get this question a lot, and while there is no secret recipe to being selected for a dancewear brand ambassador spot, we know a few tips and tricks to be noticed. We hope you know that we are actively promoting you behind the scenes, rooting for you, and sliding our reps names in for suggestions whenever we can. Here is what you can do to brighten your spotlight:
1. ONLY wear the brand you want to be noticed by. Wearing multiple brands shows a half-commitment. Brands only want dancers to rep their brand if they are fully committed to it.
2. Tag, Tag, Tag. Repost, share. The more you act like you are already an ambassador for the brand, the more you are seen as one by everyone (including the brand!)
3. KEEP TRYING. Attend the selection tours. The number of times I have heard brand owners say "I didn't select them last year, and they have shown they are still committed to the brand even if they weren't selected an ambassador. That's who I am looking for."
4. Safe followers. I know of two high profile brands who personally view your followers to make sure they are clean before they even consider you.
5. Show your strengths, uniqueness, and personality. Tiger Friday wants FIERCE. SimplyBE wants those who fit the family culture. Honeycut looks for dancers who showcase talent at competitions. ACA looks for those who INSPIRE. Which brand matches YOU?? Does your feed show your personality or just your talent?
